PetraMatrix (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — both on this website and within the PetraMatrix desktop application.
The short version
PetraMatrix is built to keep your well data on your own machine. We do not collect, upload, or have any access to the log data, wells, or workspaces you work with inside the software. The only information we hold about you is what you choose to give us directly — for example, when requesting a trial or contacting us for support.
Information we collect
Through this website:
- Contact details you submit through our trial request or contact forms (name, company, email, phone number if provided, and any message you include)
- Standard technical information collected automatically by most websites (browser type, general location such as country/city, pages visited), used only in aggregate to understand how the site is used
Through the PetraMatrix desktop application:
- Your well data, curves, layouts, and edits are stored locally on your own computer and are never transmitted to us
- The application performs a periodic license validation check, which confirms your license is valid and tied to your machine. This check does not transmit any well data, file names, or content from your work
- No usage analytics or telemetry are collected from within the application
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to trial requests, support questions, and general enquiries
- Issue and manage license keys
- Send you your license key and related account communications
- Improve this website and our communications with clients
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Data retention
We retain contact information for as long as reasonably necessary to support your use of PetraMatrix, respond to enquiries, or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your contact information at any time (see Contact section below).
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. Because your well data never leaves your own machine, its security is governed by your own computer’s security — we recommend normal good practice (antivirus, regular backups, and PetraMatrix’s own Backup Workspace feature).
