These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the PetraMatrix software and this website. By downloading, installing, or using PetraMatrix, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

1. License grant

Subject to these Terms and a valid license key, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use PetraMatrix on a single machine per license, for your own internal business purposes.

A trial license is provided for evaluation purposes only, for the time period specified at issuance, and may not be used for commercial production work without a full license.

2. What you may not do

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of PetraMatrix, except to the extent expressly permitted by law
  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share your license key with any other party or machine without our written consent
  • Use the software to build a competing product
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

3. Ownership

PetraMatrix, including its software, design, and underlying code, is and remains our exclusive property. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the software — only the right to use it under license.

Your data remains yours. Any well data, curves, layouts, or files you create or import while using PetraMatrix belong entirely to you. We claim no ownership or rights over your data at any point.

4. Your responsibility for your data

PetraMatrix stores your work locally on your own machine. You are responsible for backing up your own data — the application’s Backup Workspace feature is provided to help with this, but the responsibility for maintaining adequate backups of your work remains yours.

5. Professional judgment

PetraMatrix is a tool to assist with well log data conditioning and analysis. It does not replace professional petrophysical judgment, and all outputs, interpretations, and decisions made using the software remain the responsibility of the qualified professional using it.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

PetraMatrix is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of, or inability to use, PetraMatrix — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. License termination

We may terminate or suspend your license if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the software. Termination does not affect data already stored locally on your machine, which remains yours.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of PetraMatrix after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, in line with the company’s registration under the Government of India MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) framework.
